The OneStep Concrete Form Masonry
Unit (CFMU) Building System is a holistic, high performance building product
whereby the entire exterior structure of a building can be built using only
one product, one trade and One Step.

The patented CFMU building system has been designed and engineered to offer the best performance characteristics of any singular building product available on the market. Although CFMU look like standard concrete block on the outside (and are laid up by masons using standard mortar and masonry installation techniques) the webs and cells of a typical block have been replaced by internal plastic connectors and a  rigid
insulation insert (see photo, left). The unique CFMU design creates a concrete
cavity to the interior side of the unit, and forms an insulation blanket and air-space to the exterior side of the unit. The design incorporates high R-values, breaks the thermal path through the wall and adds the benefits of thermal mass . all of which combine to significantly reduce heating and cooling costs. The CFMU also |
includes a
five-layer moisture blocking system, designed to prevent water leakage,
condensation and black mold. And, the CFMU design allows for limitless
combinations of exterior and interior colors and finishes.
At 2/3rd the weight of a standard 12. block, the reduced weight plus a specially designed ergonomic center handle make the CFMU easier to handle and install. Because the CFMU is a One-Step system, it installs quickly and eliminates many of the products and trades required to complete buildings of traditional design, which makes the CFMU better, faster and more economical than much of its competition.
